Everything I Wore This Week Volume 17.0
Getting dressed for myself—one outfit, one mood, and one life update at a time.
Hi, it’s me again—back with another week of outfits, and I’m officially on schedule! I know I sound like a broken record, but the weather’s been all over the place, so enjoy the mix of looks.
Sometimes I worry about including looks that aren’t as fun or chaotic as I’d like—but they’re real, and that’s what matters. The reason I started documenting everything was because I wanted to push myself to get ready again each day. Before the pandemic, I worked in an office, and I did the whole 9 yards every. single. morning. I was showering, blow drying my hair (which my hair takes FOREVER TO BLOW DRY), curling said hair, full face of makeup, business casual dress up with some sort of heel.
Now, I had to push myself to write this—to make a promise to get out of sweatpants again. And I need to remind myself: while some of these outfits wouldn’t land on a “most innovative” Pinterest board, they would end up on mine. Because they help me get ready each day. And, as I keep saying—that’s what matters. It’s getting dressed for myself each day. And to be honest, that’s what I really need right now. I’ll be sending out another post later this week, but I’ve been going through some life changes that I’m excited to share with you all but it’s still scary. So, stay tuned.
Here's this week's Everything I Wore This Week—and as always, let me know if there's anything specific you'd love to see in upcoming posts.

Mood: Follow the Gold Boots
Wearing: Quince Distressed Denim Shirt, Gold High Heel Boots, Missoma Bobble Chain Choker, Missoma Ridge Heart Necklace, Wilfred Parfait Top, Abercrombie & Fitch Mid Rise Ultra Barrel Jeans
It was raining, but I couldn’t resist giving my gold high heel boots one last moment before they’re tucked away for fall. The whole look started with them. I paired them with my trusty Abercrombie barrel jeans and layered a new Aritzia top underneath—a shade of pink I didn’t already own. I’m obsessed with the cut, color, and fit, and I’m already dreaming up more ways to style it this summer as this was a pretty laid-back way to wear it.

Mood: Aye Aye Captain!
Wearing: Vintage two piece set, Missoma Hera Dome Double. Ridge Earrings, Missoma Filia Double Chain Necklace, Snakeskin Mules, Edie Parker Bow Tie Cig Case
This vintage set was a local thrift find, and I’m officially obsessed. If you’re not following me on Instagram yet (come say hi!), I recently posted a reel with a few ways to style the bottoms. The whole look feels so fun and unique—I added snakeskin mules for a little print mixing and finished it with a metallic Edie Parker bag. I couldn’t find an exact match to link on ShopMy, but I did find a fun set from Boden that gives a similar vibe. If you’re wanting something similar and vintage as to what I’m wearing, the brand is N Touch. Keep a lookout for more outfits coming with this set.

Mood: Forecast Said “Figure It Out”
Wearing: Aritzia The Effortless Pants, Abercrombie & Fitch Green Bay Packers tee, Abercrombie & Fitch Ribbed Collared Cardigan, Leather Boots, Missoma Ridge Oversized Stud Earrings, Missoma Filia Double Chain Necklace, Missoma Gold Box Link Double Chain Necklace
The weather’s been unpredictable, which explains the trousers and sweater in June. Welcome to an Iowa summer. I just wanted to be comfortable, and this outfit did the trick. These Aritzia trousers are some of my all-time favorites: super comfy, easy to dress up or down. I paired them with a cut-up Abercrombie tee and leather boots. While this exact color is no longer available, Aritzia still carries plenty of timeless shades. I always recommend these pants—they’re a wardrobe staple in my closet for a reason.
And we all know I love Abercrombie & Fitch’s tees. I actually have this one twice, in its original form and then I also chopped it myself as you can see here. They have good tees that have become some of my favorites. I added on Missoma jewelry to wrap it all up into one look.

Mood: Cute Enough to Host, Comfy Enough to Chill
Wearing: Aritzia Community Honor Tank, ASOS DESIGN Barrel Leg Jeans, Madewell Easy Y Button Down, Charlotte Stone Lenu Kortman Heels, Missoma Filia Double Chain Necklace, Missoma Square Pearl Statement Earrings, Missoma Savi Pearl Gemstone Beaded Necklace
We were hosting friends, and I wanted to be comfy but still cute—this outfit hit the mark. These striped barrel jeans from ASOS are quickly becoming a favorite. Stripes and a barrel fit? Heaven. I paired them with my go-to orange Aritzia tank to tie in the shoes, and added a brown button-up for when it got chilly. The Charlotte Stone heels? A dream. Fun, comfortable, and surprisingly wearable. 10/10 would recommend.

Mood: Bright, Bold, and Wine-Run Approved
Wearing: Missoma Square Pearl Statement Stud Earrings, Missoma Savi Gemstone Beaded Necklace, Missoma Filia Double Chain Necklace, Aupen Nirvana Noir, Yellow Mules, Farm Rio Tropical Shapes Multicolor Long-Sleeve Blouse, Aritzia Original Contour Squareneck Bodysuit, Madewell Cherry Low Slung Baggy Jeans
For our weekly happy hour, I wanted something bright and fun—and this look nailed it. My cherry red Madewell jeans and Aritzia bodysuit made the perfect base, and I layered on my joy-sparking Farm Rio button-up for contrast. Jewelry? All Missoma (obviously). When I stopped to grab wine, the clerk told me even her boyfriend would love this outfit because he's obsessed with bright colors. I’m counting that as a major win.

Mood: Born to Float, Styled to Chill
Wearing: Missoma Filia Double Chain Necklace, Brown Closed Toe Mules, Blue Alligator Print Top Handle Purse, Lake Red Rock Tee, Abercrombie & Fitch Zip Up Cardigan, Everlane Cocoa Barrel Jeans, Statement Scarf
I grabbed this tee during brunch with a friend at a shop called Hinge in Valley Junction—and I couldn’t resist. It says “Lake Red Rock Social Club: Born to Float, Forced to Dock,” which felt too perfect since I grew up boating and swimming there. I gave it a quick crop (long shirts just aren’t always my thing) and threw it on for a casual day of errands and hanging out. It’s already a favorite, and I have a feeling locals will be asking about it the more I wear it around.

My 5 Go-To Pieces (& How You Can Track Them Down Secondhand)
How many times have you tried to repurchase a favorite item only to discover it's no longer available? Instead of settling for “similar” alternatives, I’ve started using secondhand sites to thoughtfully search for pieces I genuinely love and plan to wear for years. Recently, I found a handful of staples from brands I know, love, and trust—six dresses, a romper, two pairs of heels, and a purse—all for under $200 on ThredUp.
