My 5 Go-To Pieces (& How You Can Track Them Down Secondhand)
Sharing the exact names of my go-to pieces so you can find them secondhand, not second-best.
How many times have you tried to repurchase a favorite item only to discover it's no longer available?
Instead of settling for “similar” alternatives, I’ve started using secondhand sites to thoughtfully search for pieces I genuinely love and plan to wear for years. Recently, I found a handful of staples from brands I know, love, and trust—six dresses, a romper, two pairs of heels, and a purse—all for under $200 on ThredUp.
If you haven’t used ThredUp yet and want to try it out, use this link for 45% off + free shipping on your first order.
That whole experience reminded me how many of my favorite staples are actually discontinued items. But just because a piece isn’t available from the original retailer doesn’t mean it’s gone forever. Sites like ThredUp, Poshmark, and eBay make it easier than ever to give these gems a second life.
Below, I’ve included the exact product names of some of my go-to items, so you can search for them secondhand instead of settling for the next-best thing:
Aritzia TNA Squad Pocket Parachute Pant Sunstone Orange
I bought these orange cargo pants from Aritzia in summer 2023 and they're still a favorite. When I purchased them, I also snagged the matching muscle tee in the same color (which I’ve linked below). Loved these pants so much I bought them in camo and black too. They're super comfortable with drawstrings at the bottom—you can either leave the hem long and baggy or tighten it to show off your shoes.
I've added a Google search link below for available options on secondhand shops.

Aritzia TNA Hold-It Seneca Tank Sunstone Orange
I love, love, love a matching set so when I saw that the orange cargo pants had a matching muscle tee I had to buy it too. I love wearing this just as a set or throwing on one of my Everlane button-ups with it. The options are endless with this set. And when I wear this color combination, I get so many compliments. Orange might be the new pink (sorry, Elle Woods).

Farm Rio Tropical Shapes Multicolor Long-Sleeve Blouse
This shirt was actually a secondhand find! I was hunting for a different piece I'd seen on Pinterest when I stumbled across this one on eBay and fell in love. It's from the Farm Rio x Anthropologie collection, and it's so much fun to wear - I always get tons of compliments.

TNA Squad Parachute Pant Boa Green/Tonal
As I mentioned above, I loved my orange TNA Squad Parachute Pants so much that I purchased them again in both camo and black. I wanted to provide additional information on the camo as I’m sure you could search with the word camo on the name of the pants, the precise name includes the BOA Green/Tonal.

Olga Berg Alejandra Embellished Top Handle
One of my favorite purses is my Olga Berg lilac top handle bag. I purchased it in January 2025, and it's quickly become my go-to for any occasion. While this exact version isn't available where I purchased it or on Olga Berg’s website, I did find it available at a boutique here. If it’s no longer available, I've linked two other Olga Berg options on my ShopMy—one in lilac and the same style in black.

Secondhand, Not Second-Best
I know how frustrating it can be to fall in love with something only to realize it’s no longer available. Which is I attempt to use my ShopMy account not to push constant consumption, but to document pieces I genuinely love and rewear. If something catches your eye, you can choose what works best for you—whether that’s using my link to buy it new, or searching secondhand sites for the exact same item.
Some of the links I share are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you choose to purchase through them. It doesn’t cost you anything extra, and I only ever link to items I truly love and wear myself.
My hope is to make it easier to find pieces you’ll truly enjoy wearing on repeat, without feeling pressured to chase every trend.
Thoughtful secondhand shopping—buying fewer, better pieces that bring joy and last—is one small way we can all push back on the fast fashion cycle. I’m still learning too, and I’m grateful to grow alongside this community.
What staple pieces are you hoping to track down or learn more about next? Let me know—I’d love to help.

The Jewelry I Wear on Repeat
If you’ve been reading The Kiley Edit for a while, you’ve probably seen a lot of these pieces pop up in outfit posts. They’re not new favorites—they’re tried-and-true, wear-on-repeat, part-of-my-regular-rotation kind of pieces.
I have never used ThredUp but I am glad you added that link because I just found lots of fun things for a great deal! Thanks for sharing!
