A Week in Outfits: From Christmas in Summer to Vintage Treasure Hunting
Hi, it's me again—back with another week of outfits, though admittedly a day late because this week has been chaos (and I don’t even have kids, so I’m thinking about all of you who have been wrapping up the school year!). The weather's been all over the place with temps bouncing around, making getting dressed feel like a daily guessing game. But my main philosophy of dressing to make myself happy has helped cut through some of the decision fatigue.
I always mention how much I love putting these posts together and how they help me get dressed each day—and that's completely true. But it's deeper than that. These weekly roundups push me to try new things instead of falling into my comfort zone of wearing the same safe combinations on repeat. Don't get me wrong, comfort has its place (especially after long weekends) but challenging myself to make bolder fashion choices rather than defaulting on jeans and a tee for every single outfit genuinely makes me happy.

I reached for this forest green crewneck sweatshirt and paired it with my favorite Madewell cherry red denim jeans—accidentally creating "Christmas in summer" energy, and honestly? I'm here for it.
Those Reebok Jelly Belly sneakers (yes, the candy collaboration ones) added the perfect playful touch while keeping me comfortable all day. Layered a basic grey tee underneath for temperature regulation and kept my gold jewelry consistent with double chain necklaces and heart-shaped earrings. That red crossbody bag tied the whole festive color palette together.

Wearing this jumpsuit brings me so much joy, so I thought I'd wear it for a gloomy Tuesday. Sometimes the best remedy for gray skies is intentionally choosing pieces that spark happiness—and this Lucy & Yak Maria print does exactly that.
As I've mentioned before, I love Lucy & Yak jumpsuits for their incredible prints, mission, and commitment to sustainability. I now have three jumpsuits from them because they consistently deliver joy in wearable form. I wanted to be comfortable but also debut these sparkly boots for the first time—and let me tell you, they delivered an instant serotonin boost exactly as predicted. Sometimes you just know a piece is going to make you happy, and these disco-worthy boots absolutely did not disappoint.
The styling felt effortless: casual graphic tee and relaxed barrel jeans as the perfect neutral backdrop to let those boots shine (literally). Added chunky silver necklaces for some metallic coordination without overdoing it. Even though it was still a bit chilly when I wore this, the sparkle factor was worth any temperature considerations.
