This Amazing Jewelry Holder
In the past year or so I’ve become obsessed with digging into our family history. Who wouldn’t when you find out your great grandma was married nine times (twice to the same man!). Unfortunately, I never got to meet my great grandma who loved love or my grandma on my mom’s side.
However, my aunt knows how much I’ve loved learning about them through photos, stories, and online ancestry websites. When she came over to visit recently, she brought me this jewelry box that belonged to my great grandma, Faye. The first question I asked was: Do you think she kept all her rings from her eight different husbands in here? While we don’t know the answer, I like to imagine she did.
Even though I’m not sure what she all kept in this jewelry box or who she got it from, by having this jewelry box in my possession, it makes me feel closer to her.

A handmade sweater by a dear friend
My husband Chris recently surprised me with a gift that was handmade by one of our friends, Devon. Devon started crocheting, knitting and had made her own sweater. She posted online that she was beginning to take offers to make additional sweaters for others and Chris jumped at the opportunity. We’re Green Bay Packer fans, as is Devon, which is where the color combo came from for my sweater. It’s super cute and I love that it’s handmade by one of our friends. Plus, I’ll be wearing this for many seasons to come as we cheer on the Packers. Go Pack Go!
Yale’s The Science of Well-Being available on Coursera
During my initial social media hiatus, which has now turned into me deleting most of my social media (I just have one left to delete, while it’s probably the most critical one to delete to me. It’s also the platform that has been with me the longest, so it’s been a little hard to break up with it.), I’ve been reading a lot of Apple News articles.
It’s through these articles that I learned about Yale’s The Science of Well-Being course that is available for FREE on Coursera. The goal of the course is to go through challenges and learn habits on how to be happier. I’ve started module 1 and I love how it’s setup like an actual class with ‘assignments’ and reading so that you can be putting what you’re learning into use.
This course started at Yale and because of how popular it was with their students, and how relevant the material is to anyone in the world, they decided to move it to an online format.
Alejandra Embellished Top Handle
While searching for a purse for my niece’s upcoming winter formal, I came across this gorgeous lilac-colored bag at Revolve. I included it in one of the options I sent to her to choose from. While I wanted to surprise her with a purse for winter formal, I also know our tastes differ a bit, so I chose five different purses and sent her photos of them to choose her favorite.
Unfortunately, this lilac one didn’t make the cut for her, but it did for me. I instantly fell in love with it, which has to say something because I’m a shoe person, not a purse person. I have a few purses, but I tend to put my money on what’s going on my feet, not what’s going on my arm. Anyway, I find it to be super cute and while the color is unique and fun, I think it will still play as a neutral in my wardrobe. I cannot wait to begin adding it to my outfits.
‘Pursuit of Happiness’ by Lissie
I was obsessed with the original version of this song by Kid Cudi throughout my college days (cue 2009), but I recently stumbled upon this version by Lissie while listening to my other latest song obsession, ‘When I Grow Up,’ by The First Aid Kit. I had thrown on the radio version of ‘When I Grow Up,’ and magically (I know it’s not magic but rather an algorithm that knew I’d like this song) this song appeared on my Spotify. This version is so, so good. I cannot get enough of it. I hadn’t pictured a different adaptation of this song, but Lissie kills it.
I really have nothing else to say except that I love the song. I love Lissie singing this song. I will have this song on repeat for a long time. I highly recommend adding this to your queue.
I hope you enjoy my latest list of things and experiences that I’m currently loving. Each post I try to pull together different items that I’m currently excited about to share with you all. My attempt is to not make them so much about purchasing things but more about experiences, learning opportunities, or whatever is bringing me joy in the moment. Enjoy!
