Hi, it’s me. Back with another week of outfits and overthinking.
This one was a bit of a blur: early mornings, late dinners, and a good friend visiting. My wardrobe this week had to pull triple duty—comfort for work-from-home life, style for hosting out-of-town friends, and enough personality to feel like I was still me in the middle of it all.
✨ Just a heads-up: some links in this post are affiliate links, which means if you click and purchase, I may earn a small commission—at no extra cost to you. I link to pieces I personally own or items that are super similar in vibe. I also do my best to support small businesses and brands with strong DEI values or sustainability practices. If you ever notice something that doesn’t align, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Here’s everything I wore, why I wore it, and what I’m learning from getting dressed on purpose.
🎨 Monday
Mood: Playful, Creative, Effortlessly Cool
Wearing: Oversized Denim Jacket, Farm Rio Colorful Button Down, Black Faded Jeans, Red Adidas Gazelles, Silver Chunky Necklace, Missoma Open Heart Signet Ring
Started the week in full color—because Mondays need a little boost.
This look is all about bold layering and playful contrast. A vibrant, geometric button-down sets the tone, tucked into relaxed black jeans for an effortless silhouette. The washed denim jacket adds a laid-back, vintage feel, while the bright orange sneakers bring the energy. Finished with a chunky silver chain, this outfit says confident, creative, and ready for anything—from gallery hopping to grabbing matcha on the go.
The shirt? A recent eBay find from Farm Rio and I’m obsessed. It’s one of those pieces that makes you feel instantly pulled together—even if you’re just heading to a friend’s house for dinner (which I was—Monday night plans that turned into a really lovely catch-up). I threw on my Adidas Gazelles, felt cute, and already have at least four more ways I want to style it. Just waiting on the temps to stop being weird.
Thinking about trying it with bike shorts next... TBD.

🍒 Bright & Bold
Mood: Bright, Elevated Casual
Wearing: Madewell Cherry Red Denim Jeans, Meow Mix tee, Quince Leather Button Up, Missoma Ripple Oversized Stud Earrings, Missoma Jelly Heart Gemstone Charm Necklace, Missoma Filia Double Chain Necklace, Sam Edelman Chartreuse Mules
Sometimes the outfit builds itself. This tee—brought back by my husband from the Las Vegas Meow Wolf exhibit—was too good not to center a look around. It’s quirky, nostalgic, and unexpectedly colorful in the best way. I paired it with bright cherry-red denim for a jolt of saturation, then layered on my creamy leather overshirt to keep things grounded. The chartreuse heels? A deliberate power move. If you’re already playing with color, why not go full color-block?
We had friends in town for dinner, and this outfit struck that sweet spot between casual and pulled-together. I’m also newly obsessed with these jeans—they're my first pair from Madewell, and wow, I get the hype. Super comfy, bold in the best way, and somehow go with more than you’d expect.

🌺 Wednesday
Mood: Confidence in One Zip
Wearing: Lucy & Yak Jumpsuit, Snake Print Open Toed Mules, Edie Parker Bow Tie Cig Case Shoulder Bag, Missoma Box Link Double Chain Necklace, Missoma Ridge Oversized Earrings, Red Oversized Blazer, Vintage Blue Butterfly Brooch
This jumpsuit says, “I’m here to water your plants, solve your problems, and maybe curse your ex… all before lunch.” It’s giving garden witch with a 401(k). The bold floral print is doing the most (in the best way), and that structured silver bow bag? She’s not just an accessory—she’s a main character. I paired it with my favorite embellished snake-texture heels because I believe in mixing metaphors and textures.
File this one under: botanical CEO energy.
I had a doctor’s appointment and figured… why not dress for the occasion? This jumpsuit makes me ridiculously happy, and I felt like mixing prints just because I could. It’s from Lucy & Yak, and I honestly can’t speak highly enough about it. I already owned this one—and just bought two more. When I commit, I commit.

🧢 Thursday
Mood: Soft Pants, Strong Intentions
Wearing: Everlane The Must-Have Oxford Shirt, Taylor Swift Lyric Hat, Quince Sweats, Bombas Socks, Puma Velophasis, Edie Parker Bow Tie Cig Case Shoulder Bag, Missoma Double Hera Earrings, Silver Necklace
This outfit is what happens when comfort calls, but you still want to look like you tried. A crisp, oversized striped button-down gives just enough structure to balance out the lived-in softness of grey sweatpants (a combo I will never stop reaching for). The sneakers are a little retro, a little dad-core, and 100% made for errand-hopping. Add a cheeky baseball cap and a silver bow mini bag that makes no practical sense but brings me joy—and suddenly this cozy look feels complete.
Proof that you can be relaxed and still show up with intention. Also, proof that I’ll never say no to a statement accessory, even on a vet run for one of my pups.

🎉 Friday AM
Mood: Double Denim, Double Duty
Wearing: Madewell Boxy-Crop Button-Up Shirt, Denim Baggy Shorts, Black Slip-On Mules, Aupen Nirvana Noir Black and Gold Purse, All Gold Rio Hoops Handmade Crochet Earrings, Missoma Bobble Chain Choker, Missoma Open Heart Ring, Shiffon & Co Duet Pinky Ring
Started the day in jeans, but the sun had other plans—so I swapped in shorts by lunch. This matching denim-on-denim set made the transition effortless. The cropped, collared top and slightly distressed Bermuda shorts offer just enough edge while still feeling intentional. I kept it playful with oversized gold earrings, a sleek mini bag, and chunky black sandals that somehow work just as well for a coffee run as they do for drinks on a patio.
It’s giving: casual but calculated. A reminder that dressing for changing temps doesn’t have to mean sacrificing style—or comfort.
This turned out to be the perfect look for a breezy afternoon of Ranch Waters, tacos, and guac with a friend visiting from Colorado. We sat outside. We lingered. And honestly? I was very glad I didn’t try to power through in jeans. The shorts won this round.

🍸 Friday PM
Mood: Friday Night, but Make It Sporty-Glam
Wearing: Vintage Van Dyne’s Bomber Jacket, Zara Tulle Dress, Missoma Square Pearl Statement Earrings, Schutz Metallic Heels, Edie Parker Bow Tie Cig Case Shoulder Bag, Shiffon & Co Duet Pinky Ring
Dinner and drinks with a friend in town called for something a little unexpected—so I paired this silky pink slip dress with a varsity jacket for contrast. The mix felt equal parts sporty and glam, especially with silver platforms and my go-to bow bag (which, yes, always gets a comment or two). It’s giving: cool-girl comfort with a side of sparkle.
Was I channeling a 2003 rom-com heroine? Possibly. Just a girl in a party dress, stealing a varsity jacket, and somehow making it fashion. We love to see it.
We kicked off the night at Call Her Martina—a spot neither Chris nor my friend Kacie had been to. Great cocktails, fun vibe, and surprisingly perfect apps to ease into the night. After drinks, we headed to The Mission in Old Town Scottsdale. Between the Himalayan salt block wall and the flickering candlelight, the place practically glows. It was the kind of night you don’t rush.
I truly loved this outfit—the unexpectedness of the jacket pulled it all together. The whole look felt like a twist on something familiar, and I’m already plotting when I can wear it again.

🏀 Saturday AM
Mood: Sporty Spice Meets Suburban Errands
Wearing: Abercrombie & Fitch Chicago Bulls Tee, Silver Earrings, Spandex Shorts, Olga Berg Alejandra Embellished Top Handle, Snakeskin Slide-On Mules
An oversized Bulls tee, bike shorts, snakeskin slides, and a lilac bag with bling—because who says comfort can’t come with a side of sparkle? This is my go-to formula when I want to look like I have my life together just enough to swing by the grocery store or run out for a quick lunch. Bonus points for earrings that say, “Yes, I planned this.” (I didn’t.)

🔥 Saturday PM
Mood: Color Pop & Cocktails
Wearing: Bright Red Oversized Blazer, Zara White Draped Mini Dress, Clear Two Band Heels, Olga Berg Alejandra Embellished Top Handle, Glittery Silver Earrings
Went out for drinks in this little combo and felt like the walking version of the flame emoji. A classic white mini keeps things simple, but the oversized red-orange blazer brought the drama (in the best way). Clear heels let the outfit do the talking, and the lilac mini bag? I never say no to a pop of contrast. Honestly, this bag is dangerously close to becoming a full-blown personality trait.
This look was giving: confident, clean, and very much let’s order another round.
We went to Bar Bambino for drinks and it was so much fun—the lighting, the vibe, the entire experience was perfect. I actually wrote about it in my Things I'm Loving Lately if you want to see more pics from the night.

💌 Sunday
Mood: Sunday, But Make It Summer
Wearing: Bright Red Aritzia Bodysuit, Agolde Jean Shorts, Leather and Gold Belt, Aupen Black and Gold Purse, Missoma Bobble Chain Choker, Missoma Box Link Double Chain Necklace, 12th Tribe Gold and Silver Earrings, Black and Gold Slide-On Mules
This was a no-fuss, high-impact kind of outfit. A bold orange tank, my favorite perfectly broken-in cutoffs, and a braided belt that says yes, I thought about proportions. Add black slides with gold hardware and a classic shoulder bag, and we’re in business. Equal parts casual and pulled together—the kind of outfit that works for iced coffee runs, patio lunch, or just feeling cute for no reason at all.
We headed to one of my favorite rooftop spots in the Valley for a late lunch: théa at the Global Ambassador. The views? Stunning. The food? Even better. It's such a cool place to take in the city (and the sunlight). If you’re ever in the Phoenix area, definitely make a reservation—it’s worth it.

✨ Wrap-Up
This week reminded me why I love writing these. Getting dressed isn't always about looking good—sometimes it's just about showing up for yourself. And other times, it's about leaning all the way into statement earrings and vintage jackets because they make you feel like you.
If you’re reading this and thinking, “I want to start dressing more like myself again,” then consider this your nudge.
